We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a thriving primary school in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to helping children reach their full potential.
As a Teaching Assistant working with Key Stage 2 (KS2) Intervention Groups, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils' learning and development. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted interventions in small groups, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with small groups of KS2 pupils to provide focused support in English and Maths.
Deliver tailored intervention sessions to help pupils overcome learning barriers.
Support pupils with varying abilities, ensuring all children are engaged and progressing.
Monitor and record pupil progress, feeding back to class teachers and the SENCO.
Build positive relationships with pupils, encouraging confidence and motivation.
Assist with classroom activities and provide general support to the class teacher.
Requirements:
✅ Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferably in KS2).
✅ A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✅ Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
✅ A patient and compassionate approach to supporting children's learning.
✅ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
