About Our Client
A great opportunity for an Assistant Merchandiser to a leading Multi-Channel retailer in the Greater Manchester area. They are looking to grow their Merchandising team as there are going through a period of growth. You the Assistant Merchandiser will report to the Senior Merchandiser. The role includes insuring the WSSI is up to date with the buy plan and the KPI's are up to date.
Job Description
3. Review Previous Seasons and produce SWOT Analysis with supporting information.
4. Create category level product mix using history, SWOT and SMT Plan.
5. With Senior Merchandiser formulate the space and grading plan for store distribution.
6. Ensure that the WSSI is updated with the buy plan and the KPI's are signed off with the Senior merchandiser.
7. Ensure that scheduling and Ideals are in place for your area of responsibility.
8. Attend key selection meetings with the Senior merchandiser and Buyer
9. Build the Range plan
10. Build Layout plans in conjunction with buying and VM.
11. Overview the ratios for all buys in conjunction with Asst merchandiser
12. Ensure that the Buy matches the plan Buy
13. Establish working relationships with Supplier Base
14. Manage the order books both in season and preseason to ensure that the most accurate information is always in the system.
15. Manage the Stock seasonality within the WSSI.
16. Reviews' weekly trading performance and achieved KPI's, identifying Issues and the course of action in preparation for the weekly trading meetings and submit to the senior merchandiser.
17. Propose and agree actions to recover risk and maximise opportunities with the Senior Merchandiser and Buyer at category and line level.
18. Monthly - Capture all agreed actions in the monthly forecast reviews
19. Work up the forecast from category/Season level to Buyer Group
20. Meet and gain approval: Incorporating
21. Forecasting any sales variance to plan
22. Creation of OTB's
23. Management of commitments - On time delivery, rebuys cancellations
24. Markdown proposals
25. Provide Retail with Rack List/Hit List through Merchandise Assistants.
26. Manage the range plan in Season reflecting any changes
27. Manage Linecards
28. Manage Intake at category and line level.
29. Visit and understand the store base on a regular basis. Create action plans to Optimise Store performance.
30. Manage the store option plans to ensure each store has the optimum amount of stock and neither too full or lacking key lines.
The Successful Applicant
31. Experience working at a Senior Merchandising Assistant, Assistant Merchandiser or similar
32. Planning, trading and analytical skills
33. Ability to think on feet and make decisions working within in a fast-paced environment
34. Strong commercial and brand awareness with an interest in product
35. Professional with excellent communication skills
36. Confident, enthusiastic and hungry to learn
37. Highly organised, methodical and efficient
