Finance Officer (Estates and Facilities Asset systems)
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to join our dynamic and knowledgeable team as a Finance Officer within the Estates and Facilities Asset team. In this pivotal role, you will support our team across all managed sites, ensuring the accuracy of site occupancy records, landlord charges, running costs, orders, invoicing, goods receipting, and budget management for our NHS client.
We seek a candidate with a proven track record as a finance officer or in a similar role. While experience in the public sector is advantageous, it is not essential. This fast-paced and varied role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, build a robust network of contacts, and play a crucial role in this vital area of the NHS.
This position offers hybrid working arrangements, with time split between onsite work at the Parsons Green Health Centre and remote work as feasible. Initially an 8-month contract, there is potential for extension to 12 months.
Join us and make a significant impact in a role that promises both professional growth and the chance to contribute to the NHS's mission.
Job Description
What you’ll be doing:

4. Working with colleagues and between Capita and the client Trust on budgets, reporting, analysis, and ordering, effective coding and helping collate financial and occupancy dates and space records for the same.
5. Oversight and understanding of the transactional processes within the department ensuring that all participants understand fully their part in a process and are able to execute their role and responsibilities to meet agreed expectations.
6. Co-ordination of daily and periodic activities, prompting, reminding and liaising with delivery partners, to ensure tasks are delivered to plan and agreed deadlines are met.
7. Resolution of queries and the identification and prevention of potential issues before they arise.
8. Proactive identification of changes in business needs and opportunities for continuous improvement in the delivery of the service.
9. Work in collaboration with the Trust and Estates to meet their requirements whilst ensuring the integrity of the contract is upheld.
What we’re looking for:
1. Broad experience and/or understanding of working in a transactional finance function.
2. Understanding of how a transactional department such as Estates and Facilities function in a public sector organisation may operate and its relationship with a wider finance function.

4. Demonstrable track record of developing and maintaining strong professional relationships at all levels.
5. Evidence of success in influencing, leading, supporting and motivating stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes.
6. Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and a willingness to challenge.
7. Experience of using financial systems and automation to improve operational efficiencies such as ordering systems and software for property management as examples.
8. Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively to meet tight deadlines.
9. Sound knowledge of budgets, ordering and requisitioning and finance systems for procurement/invoicing.
