We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support children with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) within our inclusive base. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that all pupils feel valued, engaged, and supported in their learning journey.
About the Role
As an HLTA at Wolvey CofE Primary School, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. You will:
1. Work closely with children with EHCPs, ensuring their learning, social, and emotional needs are met within our inclusive base.
2. Support pupils in accessing the curriculum alongside their peers, promoting integration and positive relationships.
3. Deliver tailored interventions and personalised support, adapting resources and teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
4. Promote and uphold our school’s core values of kindness and friendship, ensuring a supportive and respectful learning environment for all.
5. Encourage outstanding behaviour and attitudes, reinforcing a culture of mutual respect and high expectations.
6. Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver effective learning plans.
7. Support pupil well-being, ensuring all children feel safe, happy, and confident in their learning.
8. Assist with planning and leading small group activities to enhance engagement and progress.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced HLTA who is passionate about inclusive education. The successful candidate will:
1. Have relevant HLTA qualifications (or equivalent experience in a similar role).
2. Demonstrate experience in supporting children with special educational needs, particularly those with EHCPs.
3. Be committed to fostering a warm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
4. Have excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with staff, pupils, and families.
5. Be proactive, adaptable, and patient, with a genuine dedication to improving outcomes for all children.
6. Support and uphold the Christian ethos and values of our school.
