Vacancy - Warehouse Assistant
ESS Employment Ltd has an exciting opportunity to join a family-run company based near Stroud as a Warehouse Assistant. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse; therefore, own initiative will be required.
Responsibilities:
1. To ensure all the relevant flags and signs are put out ready for opening and put away at closing.
2. To ensure that the skip is managed correctly.
3. All waste is stacked accordingly to maximize cost and order skips accordingly.
4. Skip is locked at the end of every day.
5. The stock sheet for products is filled in at the end of every day.
6. All orders are picked at the end of the day ready for the next day.
7. All cuts are done with reference to the cut sheet and the stock sheets are down dated accordingly.
8. Print labels ready for cutting.
9. Cuts to be allocated to a location and marked on the board.
10. To ensure all ordered stock is put away in the relevant locations.
11. Delivery note is attached to the relevant paperwork and the whiteboard is down dated accordingly.
12. Any materials returned to be put away in the relevant location.
13. Any unusable stock to be put into the skip of REM if they are of a relevant size.
14. Stock take is done twice a week to ensure the relevant stock is ordered.
15. Checking pricing is always a good idea.
16. All bins are emptied every night before closing.
17. To ensure all warehouses are kept clean and tidy (Downstairs showrooms, Front warehouse, Middle warehouse, and Back warehouse).
18. To ensure deliveries are made in line with the work diary and digital diary.
19. To liaise with the office regarding any enquiries.
20. Forklift is checked on a daily basis – reference check sheet.
21. Smoke alarms are tested on a monthly basis.
Requirements:
1. Previous Warehouse experience and knowledge.
2. Ideally a current Counterbalance Forklift license (if not, confidence and willingness to be put through training).
