About the role.
National Highways have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Support Analyst to join our team in Digital Services. The Technical Support Analyst will provide NH office locations with daily onsite support for IT infrastructure, including printers, computers, peripherals and telephone equipment. The Technical Support Analyst will also manage application, system and/or network issues to resolution within the client and assist with new installations, migrations and moves.
But that's not all, you'll participate effectively as a team member through communication, cooperation, information sharing and problem solving as well as assisting in other areas as directed. You will also be responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of work performed.
Please note this is a hybrid position and will be based from our Guildford office, and local travel to multiple sites will be required.
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance on computers, monitors, peripherals and digital/IP telephone systems.
* Setting up new equipment and installing operating system and application software.
* Responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of support work performed via, but not limited to, the helpdesk ticketing system.
* Maintaining updated knowledge of software/hardware to assure the proper implementation and service of client workstations.
* Maintaining communications with the client/end user base, external and internal suppliers, throughout scheduled and daily support work activities.
About you.
* MCP qualification or relevant experience.
* Good working knowledge of networking, protocols, structured cabling and associated terminology.
* Related experience in a similar technical support / customer facing role within a corporate/professional environment.
* Working knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop / Citrix.
* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and able to demonstrate excellent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
