We are currently working in partnership with a Not For Profit based in London, who are recruiting for a People Coordinatoron a permanentcontract. The position is due to start in March. The annual salary being offered for this role is £33,951 per annum. The successful candidate must have experience of advising and supporting all levels of staff in people matters including recruitment, employment checks, contracts and policies & procedures. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Advising and supporting employees and managers in People matters which includes, recruitment, employment checks, contracts of employment and variations of contract, and related policies and procedures Carrying out pre-employment checks, including drafting and issuing letters and contracts Managing and processing the monthly payroll information which is administered by an external agency Providing timely and accurate information, reports, and analysis and responsible for contributing to the regular review of the effectiveness of systems, processes, and practices Achieving, monitoring, and contributing to the review of the People workplan and performance indicators Working on a range of People initiatives and projects Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Experience of working in a People / HR role with substantial administrative duties in a large, complex organisation Experience of managing and collaborating with people, finding the right balance between upholding People best practice and being understanding and sensitive Excellent written and verbal communication skills that is clear, coherent, and appropriate Experience of working independently using own initiative whilst meeting tight deadlines Excellent IT skills including HRIS systems, updating systems to ensure effective reporting and user accessibility Some knowledge of good practice and relevant employment law and its application in the workplace Experience of adapting in a rapidly changing environment and staying motivated and focussed An understanding of and relevant experience and knowledge of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion as it relates to People and organisations An empathy and understanding of homelessness and the impact on the lives of individuals Ideally a CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent practical experience or already studying towards the relevant CIPD qualification Rewards and Benefits: Generous holiday allowance - 29 days per year plus 8 public holidays (pro rata) Pension - we contribute 6.5% to your pension when you contribute 1.5% Excellent development opportunities - career progression, regular supervision and appraisals, and learning programmes to support your career with Thames Reach Wellbeing support - our 24/7 employee assistance programme and opportunities for TOIL Life assurance - four times your annual salary Critical illness - one year’s annual salary in the event you are diagnosed with a critical illness Other benefits including interest free season ticket and cycle to work loans Working hours : 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
