Hospital and Home Education Learning Centre (HHELC)
This role will be based at The Lookout Education Centre, Hopewood, NG5 3FL. Monday to Friday (37 hours per week, term time only)HHELC is a school located in Nottingham, based across four sites, which caters for pupils and young people with a range of medical and mental health needs.
We are seeking to appoint an efficient and professional Learning Mentor based at The Lookout Education Centre. The Lookout Education Centre provides education for inpatients in the Adolescent Unit at Hopewood, a 32-bed psychiatric unit. This is for young people aged 12 – 17 years old who are experiencing mental health difficulties. Young people are supported to continue their education whilst they are inpatients, and we work closely with their home school or college. We teach students in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, offering access to a full range of subjects to enable them to keep up with their studies whilst in hospital. We work flexibly based on students need, so every day is different.
