ABC Teachers is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher for a supply position at a well-respected secondary school in Moseley. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons. Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Planning and delivering creative and practical lessons
3. Supporting students in developing cooking, nutrition, and food science skills
4. Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained in the classroom
5. Engaging with students to encourage a love for cooking and healthy eating
Requirements
The successful Food Technology Teacher will have:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
2. Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level
3. Strong practical skills and knowledge of food preparation and nutrition
4. Good classroom management and communication skills
5. Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
