1. Our offices will be moving to Milton Keynes in November.

The Role:
Technicians are assigned to an Operating Entity. Technicians are responsible for providing technical administration support to broking staff within dedicated Business Units of the Operating Entity. A Technician will be allocated to a team of Technicians who provide specialist support organized around specialist lines of insurance.
They will ensure that their responsibilities are completed in accordance with applicable Company/Group policies.
Key Responsibilities:
3. Works with senior members of the team to agree key priorities so that they can manage and plan their workload, ensuring that personal and Team objectives are achieved
4. Meets agreed targets
5. Manages assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required
6. Provides relevant management information to Team Leader when required
7. Assists in the creation of comprehensive client and broking documents
8. Processes slips, quotes, indications and endorsements
9. Performs technical duties (including data entry, credit control, chasing subjectivities)
10. Keeps informed of all regulatory and legal changes which impacts on the job role
11. Ensures up to date records are maintained at all times on the Company systems
12. Responds appropriately to urgent issues as they arise
13. Interprets instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to policies and procedures
14. Develops strong relationships with their Business Units
15. Deals with incoming enquiries from clients, insurers and third parties as appropriate
16. Deals with client renewals and mid-term adjustments as appropriate
17. Responds to the clients(both internal and external) requirements as appropriate
18. Behaves with all clients (both internal and external) fairly and ethically
19. Shares information that could be beneficial to the Operating Entity/Group
20. Actively undertakes personal development to ensure up to date knowledge and understanding of best practice
21. Remains aware of external, industry, legal and regulatory developments etc to ensure practice and outputs are of a sufficiently high standard
22. Keeps informed of all legal and regulatory developments relevant to the Operating Entity/Group
Skills & Attributes:
23. Proficient IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
24. Able to undertake and demonstrate competence in technical training, as the need arises by the industry regulator
25. Technical expertise in allocated business lines (this will be developed with experience of the role and is not crucial for recruitment purposes)
26. Preference will be given to applicants who have worked in Insurance or a customer facing environment
27. Attention to detail with ability to produce accurate documentation
28. Ability to work optimally within a team and answer queries from less expert members of staff
29. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with stakeholder.
30. Confident communication both written and verbal
Qualifications
31. GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English and Maths essential
32. A level Grade A-C (or equivalent)
