Day-to-Day Responsibilities Deliver formal scheduled teaching and tutorials, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. Implement new learning technologies and maintain an effective teaching file. Manage student morale and discipline, working closely with college managers and the team. Record and report data accurately, including eILPs, e-registers, assessments, and student progress records. Stay up-to-date with academic and vocational subjects, maintaining industry links. Contribute to safeguarding, equality, and diversity. Perform additional duties as required. Teaching Duties Deliver high-quality teaching across various Refrigeration & HVAC Engineering courses. Integrate Maths and English into lessons. Develop engaging and inclusive learning experiences with Lead Practitioners. Maintain consistent student discipline in line with college policies. Involve students in assessing their learning and understanding the wider context of their specialist area. Ensure teaching materials meet quality assurance standards. Participate in the college’s quality cycle and maintain accurate assessment records. Monitor student absences and behaviour, taking appropriate actions. Set challenging personal targets for students to help them fulfil their potential. Liaise with course teams, student support, and parents/carers as needed. Essential Criteria Relevant qualifications and experience in Refrigeration & HVAC Engineering. Strong communication and organisational skills. Commitment to continuous professional development. Ability to supervise and support learners effectively. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and equal opportunities policies. GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
