Location: Leeds Technology Directorate The Technology Directorate provides information and system technology services to all business areas in the Bank as part of Central Services. Our key objective is to support the policy and operational divisions to meet the Bank's stated objectives. The Technology Division structure is designed to reflect the delivery lifecycle for technology. New technologies and investments are planned and designed and then handed over to be built, maintained and run. All of this activity needs to be conducted in a way that ensures information and data is kept secure, for which a separate operating function has been created. Job Description This is a fixed term contract role for the remaining 25/26 financial year (ending February 2026). This role suits a knowledgeable M365 specialist to help industrialise the new approach to the Bank's document and records management system. The Bank is migrating our document management solution from a legacy toolset to M365, primarily using SharePoint for document management. The Bank will also be using Microsoft Purview extended with a third-party solution Infotechtion i-ARM, hosted in Azure, to meet the Bank's records management requirements. We are currently in a pilot phase, and the successful candidates will be part of the delivery of the solution to the rest of the organisation. A day in the role A typical day would probably start with the team stand-up meeting where you'll discuss your workload for the current sprint and seek help addressing any blockers that you face. Next, you'll likely have some migration work to deliver the new solution for waves of colleagues across the Bank. After that, you'll draft and raise a change request through the Bank's formal processes to change or update controls in Purview the following week. If you're in the office, you may grab lunch in the canteen with some of your colleagues. In the afternoon, you'll tackle a support call from a pilot user who is having issues with saving a document. Once you've sorted that call, you'll document the fix so that other colleagues better understand the service. The rest of the afternoon could be spent doing some research on refining the migration process or working with business analysts to understand business requirements. Your responsibilities may adapt depending on the needs of the team. These could also include: Engaging with external, 3rd party vendors for support purposes, and ensuring we drive value from our services. Providing training to end-users and internal SharePoint champions on best practices, features, and functionality. Empowering business users to meet their own via migrating their own content or using tools like PowerApps / Power Platform. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and usability of SharePoint environments. Ensuring there is visibility of our solutions, using reporting and monitoring tools. BAU operational support for SharePoint, Teams, and other M365 products. This could include resolving requests, incidents and problems when on support. Role Requirements: Minimum Criteria We are interested in hearing from candidates with demonstrable experience of the following: The M365 suite of applications including: Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online, including: Strong knowledge of Teams and SharePoint architecture, covering governance, security models / permissions, Teams channels, content management, search, and user access controls across all Microsoft services OneDrive for Business Configuring, maintaining and performing backups and restoration for Teams and SharePoint Online. Salary and Benefits Information We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate. We offer a salary as follows: Leeds circa £36,400 to £40,950 In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below: A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked.
