I’m looking for a Network Engineer to join a European leader in SaaS solutions for the education sector. Starting as a cashless payment system for schools, they now operate with 11 brands under their group umbrella, offering a multi-functional solution which includes:
* School meal management
* Student medical tracking
* Communication platform for schools & parents
* Much more!
Please note that this is a hybrid position, with 1-2 days a week spent in their Coventry office.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Joining a newly established Service Ops division, you’ll act as support escalation for their network infrastructure, which includes their data centres, cloud platforms and remote offices. The role manages internal customer support, as well as internal & production network support, meaning communication is key. This position works closely with the infrastructure engineering team to ensure that all systems are robust & secure, as well as future-proofing any vulnerabilities. It’s a Windows heavy environment, so you’ll need to be comfortable with the various OS and infrastructure that it sits on. The focus in this team is stability and scalability.
What experience will you need?
* Proven network engineering skills, ideally in a group / distributed environment.
* Skilled in Cisco networking; including ASAs, Switches, FTD etc.
* Network administration experience; VMWare, WAN/LAN/WLAN, Load Balancing.
* Solid understanding of DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP.
* Knowledge of SDWAN (Juniper SRX or similar).
* Excellent troubleshooting capability, coupled with concise communication skills at internal & external stakeholder level.
* Awareness of VMWare ESX would be beneficial.
* Microsoft SQL Server experience would be useful.
* Windows Server & desktop management/configuration expertise.
* Any network monitoring experience would also be desirable.
