Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated band 7 pharmacist to join our team at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You should have hospital pharmacy experience. Previous ophthalmic pharmacy experience is not required; however, a solid background in clinical pharmacy and experience in managing staff would be desirable. Main duties of the job The post holder will:o Support the Senior Pharmacists in the delivery and development of clinical Pharmacy and medicines optimisation services across the division.o Provide specialist pharmaceutical advice on the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.o Undertake regular audit to monitor and promote adherence to local and national guidance.o To support and develop Trainee Pharmacists, Band 6 Pharmacists and other Pharmacy staff as appropriate.o Work with the Associate Chief Pharmacists, Lead Pharmacists, Nursing and Clinical Leads and relevant Pharmacy Leads on service developments and improvements to ensure that Pharmacy services meet the needs of the users.o Manage the operational running of the Pharmacy services across Moorfields South ensuring that the network site pharmacies are adequately staffed and arranging for operational cover across the network sites as required.
