ID Systems are an established industry leader providing single sourced solutions within the field of MEICAT Engineering. Our areas of expertise include hazardous areas, PLC/SCADA, telemetry integration, electrical engineering design, installation, project management and preventive maintenance. Due to our continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit Telemetry Engineers to join our rapidly growing teams in our Cumbernauld & Edinburgh offices. Being a part of ID Systems, you’ll be joining a value-based business, we pride ourselves on living our values while we work Skills & Knowledge Requirements Must pass numeracy and literacy test You MUST hold a valid driving license. Complete the required academic and practical training requirements of the apprenticeship. Attend college as and when instructed Complete Apprenticeship within 5 years. Gain hands on operational experience by working closely with the qualified Fitters and other members of the engineering teams and carrying out all tasks as instructed. Assist in the installation, testing and maintenance of all mechanical equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using both hand tools and power tools Assist in fault diagnosis using testing equipment, hand tools and carry out any repairs as instructed. Gain an understanding of web-based records associated with completion tests and assist in keeping these records up to date Ensure a high standard of housekeeping whilst works are progressing Ensure that all methods of works comply with the company policies, in particular health & safety Proactive in approach to work Additional Information You must possess a high degree of manual dexterity demonstrated through the use of hand tools. You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers and be required to walk and stand on uneven ground. You must also be able to work within a confined space, without restriction.
