About the opportunity; As Head of People, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming the way we engage with and develop our team, ensuring that we continue to attract, retain, and nurture the best talent in the industry. You’ll work closely with your colleagues on our leadership team to define and implement key initiatives such as values renewal, culture transformation, and colleague retention, all while ensuring that our HR and payroll services remain at the highest level of performance. Key Responsibilities: Defining a people strategy that aligns with our business goals and enhances the colleague experience. We’ve already got some priorities, but will welcome a fresh perspective that may transform our people agenda Leading implementation of our people strategy, making sure it happens and delivers Getting to know your colleagues on the ground in schools to understand their needs and aspirations, ensuring that our people strategy makes a positive difference on the front line Collaborating with the leadership team to shape business decisions and overall strategy Overseeing all HR and payroll functions to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently The ideal candidate with be able to demonstrate; The ability to seize the opportunity that a company of our size and maturity presents, and to define and deliver a people strategy that delivers transformational, measurable improvement A solid understanding of HR & payroll functions, acquired either in an HR or a management capacity – to be clear, we welcome applicants from both a formal HR background and other career paths, so long as you have a thorough understanding of HR A true passion for our purpose: making money for schools, A commitment to embodying and promoting our values every day: integrity, taking responsibility, good with people, and changing for the better The maturity and wisdom to be a strong member of our leadership team, adding your voice across our business agenda and a genuine interest in working with a growing business to drive long-term success Summary This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a leadership role and is motivated by making a real difference.
