Leader Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work at a primary school based near Cramlington. The school caters for children aged 3 to 11 years old within a mainstream school setting. The successful Teaching Assistant will have transferable skills and experience, as well as a desire to support children within education, whether in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. Qualifications are desirable but not essential.
The normal working pattern is Monday to Friday, starting at 8:30am until 3:30pm, and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will have:
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
* Transferable skills and relevant experience from jobs in education, care, or support
* A desire to help children who need extra support within the classroom
* The ability to be proactive and enthusiastic to successfully support the children
* A good understanding of Safeguarding in education and the policies and procedures involved
