Purchasing Co-ordinator

Acopia Group are a successful and well-established family run business supplying approximately 12,000 SKU’s of packaging and consumable items (GNFR) to a broad selection of industrial and retail customers. The business is currently looking to recruit a proactive Supply Chain Co-ordinator for their Bognor Regis HQ. The successful candidate will be detailed, persistent, and ideally have some experience with product compliance and specification conformity.

The Role
1. Bring a creative and hungry approach to the purchasing role
2. Manage your own categories and suppliers and meet relevant KPI’s
3. Use our AGR forecasting system to plan and generate PO’s and ensure all background data is kept correct to ensure accurate predictions
4. Place purchase orders, including:
1. Working with suppliers to obtain quotes
2. Negotiating to obtain best price; best quality; acceptable lead time
3. Resourcing new suppliers for existing and new product lines
4. Consolidation of PO’s to drive efficiency
5. Meet OOS KPI below 3%
6. Resolve purchasing challenges and invoice queries
7. Work with Operations Team to resolve booking in discrepancies
8. Manage direct shipments
9. Set up new suppliers on ERP
10. Variant set-up and management, including COSHH
11. Arrange international imports and all associated documentation
12. Manage artwork and bespoke product approvals
13. Protect the Acopia Brand
14. Look for own-branding opportunities
15. Other duties from time-to-time, including cover for other team members
