An opportunity has arisen for a talented Associate/Senior Associate to join our Real Estate team based from either our Leeds, Manchester or Sheffield office.
Your Role and What You'll Be Doing
The Northern Real Estate transactions team undertakes a broad range of work including development, investment, landlord and tenant, portfolio management and property financing across all sectors within the real estate sector.
The award-winning team has recently been working on many notable projects including:
* Securing a panel appointment for a PLC housebuilder, advising on numerous acquisitions across the North of the country for residential development, including a site in North Lincolnshire for over 900 homes.
* Advising a Developer on the acquisition of a site at Kirkstall, Leeds from Tesco Stores and Leeds City Council for 263 new homes.
* Advising a listed Singaporean investor on its acquisition, funding, and disposal of various student accommodation assets.
* Advising the Developer on the acquisition of a 200-acre former colliery, one of the largest regeneration projects in the UK.
* Advising the Developer in the acquisition and redevelopment of The Chocolate Works, York.
* Advising a Developer on the acquisition, development, and forward funding of various projects to deliver 1,400,000 sq ft of logistics and industrial space.
* Advising various Developers on partnership, development, and joint venture agreements with landowners.
Your Role
The successful candidate will manage a number of real estate transactions, varying from sales and purchases to developments and high-profile commercial deals. You'll also be expected to lead on client work, proactively undertaking business development activities to support Partners in growing the business and delivering excellent client service.
About You
We're looking for an Associate/Senior Associate who is a self-starter with exposure to good quality real estate transactions. Our ideal candidate will have the following:
* Qualified lawyer via traditional SRA route or CILEX;
* The ability to effectively supervise junior team members;
* An aptitude for business development and a passion for strong client and referrer relationships;
* The ability to manage multimatter transactions while maintaining attention to detail;
* Demonstrable technical experience in Commercial Property, specifically across development transactions.
