The opportunity
University of the Arts London is seeking an experienced project coordinator with a background in accommodation management, hospitality, or housing services to join our Residential Operations Team.
As the Accommodation Projects Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the residence management team in all aspects of halls of residence management. You will oversee hall services, including internet and laundry provisions, student conduct and welfare, health and safety, and contractor management.
A key responsibility of this role is leading impactful projects from inception to completion, ensuring innovative and effective solutions that improve residential services. This may include planning and executing projects related to new software implementation, service enhancements, or operational improvements. You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery, track project progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to the Senior Management Team.
In addition to project management, you will provide strong leadership as a line manager to three Residential Operations Administrators and an Executive Assistant. You will also organise training sessions for staff ahead of project launches and conduct debrief sessions post-completion to document lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
About you
We are looking for someone with transferable knowledge and skills gained in the sector, via hospitality, a local authority, housing association, private accommodation provider or similar. You should hold a degree, a Project Management qualification, or have equivalent relevant experience. Strong knowledge of Accommodation Management Systems such as Kinetics and CRM tools is essential.
As a motivated leader, you should have experience in managing and developing teams, as well as the ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
