At the Countess of Chester, we are committed to providing excellence in pre-registration practice education, support, and development. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced midwife to join our existing Practice Education and Development team. Your role will be key in making student experiences successful and supporting our staff to deliver great learning opportunities.
The role involves liaising with higher education institutes and coordinating placements for midwifery students.
You will receive support and development opportunities within practice learning to support your career development.
This is a rewarding and varied role where you will have the opportunity to take part in shaping and developing the future midwifery workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead on the structuring, design, and delivery of inter-professional learning opportunities in practice for midwifery students and mentors/practice supervisors.
2. Work in partnership with the HEIs in the planning, delivery, and review of development programmes for mentors/practice supervisors.
3. Identify opportunities for multi-professional mentorship and practice supervision to facilitate inter-professional learning.
4. Produce and maintain a portfolio of education in practice activity within service area(s).
5. Lead on the development, implementation, and review of education in practice learning environments in line with educational policy.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership.
