Teacher of Mathematics
(Full-Time, Permanent),
MPS1-UPS3 Plus TLR
Required from September 2025
Dear
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Mathematics teacher to join our dynamic and high-achieving Maths department. Mathematics is exceptionally popular at Townley Grammar School, with a significant number of students choosing to study Maths and Further Maths at A Level.
The ideal candidate will have expert subject knowledge and the confidence to teach across all Key Stages, including GCSE and A Level. While the ability to teach Further Maths at A Level is desirable, it is not essential. This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated educator to inspire our talented students and contribute to the ongoing success of our thriving department.
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with support available for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
* Inspire and challenge students at GCSE and A Level, teaching the Edexcel Maths GCSE, Edexcel Maths A Level, and Edexcel Further Maths A Level.
* Drive excellence by enabling students to achieve the highest possible standards.
* Collaborate effectively within a supportive and motivated team.
* Bring innovation and creativity to teaching and learning strategies.
* Demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence inside and outside the classroom.
* Stay informed on and actively implement contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies.
* Commit to the ethos and vision of the school, including participation in the wider school community.
If you are an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking to make a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you!
