As Business Development Lead you will play a crucial role in driving the continued growth of our highly respected heavylift engineering and marine transportation business. We serve clients in the defence, nuclear, renewables, and oil & gas sectors, and you will be deeply involved in managing and supporting business development activities within these key industries. Your efforts will help strengthen our position in the market and ensure ongoing success in meeting the evolving needs of our clients. The key responsibilities of the role would primarily be: Meeting revenue targets – meet specific revenue targets as guided by senior management and established in company business plan Establishing and driving new business – proactively engage with target markets through developing client relationships and attending industry events Client account management – responsible for all key account activity including development and maintenance of existing accounts (as allocated by senior team). CRM Management – day-to-day management of our CRM system, ensuring the sales pipeline is balanced with a healthy portfolio, and records and updated and maintained What we’re looking for? We are looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a solid understanding of the marine heavylift and engineering industry. The successful candidate will proactively generate new sales opportunities through direct business development, attending industry events, and leveraging networking and social media. They will be skilled in engaging with individuals at all organisational levels and building lasting relationships. The focus will be on growing our market presence and strengthening our reputation as the preferred partner for heavy-lift engineering and marine transportation. Skills that will help you in the role Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage with personnel at all levels of an organisation, from decision-makers at the executive level to key influencers within operations teams. Identifying and understanding client needs, with the skill for adapting conversations to build rapport and establish trust. Strong networking abilities to connect with potential clients, partners, and industry professionals, that drive repeat business, referrals, and mutual growth. Where will you be working?
