* This is an interim position with a 6-month duration. Mon-Fri, 37.5hrs (flexible working hours considered)
* This role can be worked on a remote basis, with an initial requirement to attend a local office on occasion to familiarise yourself with the role and team.

Your new Head of Information Assurance role and companyA leading healthcare organisation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Information Assurance to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the Information Governance and Access Teams, oversee the operational delivery of Data Protection, Information Governance functions, and manage the Change Management function. You will also be responsible for implementing effective governance around the organisation's strategic change portfolio by leading the Portfolio Management Office (PMO). Your leadership will foster a culture of continuous improvement and help shape future direction, ensuring the organisation meets its strategic ambitions and mitigates information risk.What you'll need to succeed as a Head of Information AssuranceEducation & Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, with significant experience in a senior role. Relevant project management qualifications (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2).Leadership: Proven ability to lead effective teams, set high standards, and drive innovation.Strategic Thinking: Ability to take a strategic view and make informed decisions in a complex, changing environment.Analytical Skills: Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and translating insights into actionable strategies.Communication: Excellent communication skills, including briefing, facilitation, and presentation abilities. Ability to communicate complex information to diverse stakeholders.Budget Management: Experience in budgetary management and delivering value for public funds.Knowledge: Understanding of ISO 27001 standards, information governance, data protection regulations, and change management processes.What you'll get in return
