SUMMARY:
On behalf of our client, an award winning holiday destination in the Cairngorms National Park, we are looking to recruit an experienced and confident individual with a love of the outdoors to head up the Sales and Marketing division.
The position we are recruiting is office based and the successful candidate will be leading a small team, managing all aspects of sales functions across this diverse business.
PRINCIPAL PURPOSE:
● Manage the Sales and Marketing team ensuring a continuity of customer service, product packages and individual offering.
● Increase sales through the development of packages and cross departmental upselling.
● Manage the Sales & Marketing team ensuring the safe gathering and retention of customer data.
● Ensure the completion and safe storage of customer wavers for activities deemed to carry higher risk.
● Develop sales systems that ensure the accurate collection of customer information and recommend technology support to better aid the sales process.
● Train seasonal receptionist staff in the systems and procedures of the sales department.
● Embed the Vision of Inspire, Nurture, Master, Sustain into the product offerings across the company.
● Work with other Heads of Department to develop different business models with differing price points and service models for the sale and delivery of different products within the themes of Inspire, Nurture, Master, Sustain.
● Ensure the two receptions are staffed 7 days per week.
● To source and recruit a competent, qualified and certified staff team to deliver excellent service and in the department.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
● A minimum of 4 years prior experience in a customer facing role, preferably in a diverse tourism business.
● Experience in a management role of at least a couple of staff.
● Basic experience of bookkeeping and accounts.
● Highly developed numeracy, analytical and literacy skills.
● Highly developed computer literacy and high competence in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as Google applications and ability to use software effectively.
● Highly developed competence in integrated hotel booking and management systems, specifically working with Booking.com and Air B’n’B.
● Excellent presentation and communication skills.
● Empathy and alignment to the values and culture of the company.
DESIRABLE
● Experience in the management and implementation of new technology and sales systems to deliver service improvement and efficiencies.
● Familiarity with sales platform FuseMatix and Booin.
● Proven ability to lead and manage staff.
● Commercial acumen.
● Experience of staff management and development.
● Experience of working with different IT sales systems and website development.
● Experience of integrating IT sales systems into company operations
