Regional Commercial Manager - Contracting Join us as a Regional Commercial Manager and play a pivotal role in work winning by driving business growth and leading commercial strategy within our Contracting Division. Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager, you'll lead a high-performing team and contribute to the strategic success of our contracting highways operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive commercial expertise, preferably with an estimating/QS background, with a strong emphasis on team leadership and business development and a deep understanding of contracting within the highways industry. What You'll Do: Lead, manage, and inspire a team of commercial professionals - Estimators Forge strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities. Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve regional goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless operations. Drive innovation, market analysis, and competitive pricing strategies. What We're Looking For: Experience : Estimating/QS experience of 5 years in highways, surfacing, or related construction industries. Knowledge : Deep understanding of construction highway operations and industry forms of contract. Skills : Strong commercial acumen, leadership, and negotiation abilities. Qualifications : Graduate calibre, ideally with a relevant degree. Tech Savvy : Proficient in CRM systems, MS Office, and Estimating software. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead and inspire a team of estimators, driving skill development and high performance. Set clear goals aligned with the regional strategy, providing feedback and support. Business Development & Client Relations Manage key client relationships at local and national levels. Develop marketing plans and secure regional contracts to drive revenue and growth. Lead on negotiation of contracts within a diverse client base. Identify new business opportunities to expand the company's presence. Strategy & Financial Management Develop and execute commercial strategies to meet regional targets. Manage forecasts, pipelines, and budgets, adapting strategies as needed. Lead the creation of competitive bids, proposals, and tenders. Market Analysis & Reporting Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide insights and regular updates to senior leadership for strategic planning. Leverage data to refine decision-making and optimize business strategies.
