Where you will work
The purpose of this role is to work as part of a team on a broad spectrum of domestic and international personal injury disputes. We are looking to recruit a Legal Executive/Associate to join our 14-lawyer Travel, Tourism, and Insurance team in Exeter. The role will focus on providing a first-class service to clients, contributing to proactive marketing/profile raising, and exceptional client management. The successful candidate will have a clear career path and will be well supported at partner level and by other fee-earners, joining a highly collaborative and collegiate culture.
What you will be doing
1. Advising on and representing clients in travel litigation matters, through litigation or alternative dispute resolution, with minimal supervision.
2. The work will include advice on Claimant and Defendant personal injury matters of varying complexity and value, in both England and Wales and cross-border contexts.
3. Taking instructions from and attending clients, including file opening and internal compliance procedures.
4. Progressing cases through the litigation process, considering all appropriate methods of ADR.
5. Conducting general research on relevant matters.
6. Participating actively in team marketing initiatives.
7. Ensuring files are managed in compliance with Lexcel procedures and client service level agreements.
8. Participating in firm-wide and departmental training sessions.
What you will need
The firm has a Career Development Framework outlining expected competencies. For this role, we require:
* Legal Executive or Solicitor with NQ to 4 years' post-qualification litigation experience and a relevant litigation seat at NQ level.
* Previous experience in English personal injury cases is essential.
* Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach.

* Ability to take responsibility and manage files independently where appropriate.
* Strong client focus and commitment to service delivery.
