Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding opportunity to inspire and support children in Key Stage 2? Sussex Teachers is working with a highly inclusive and supportive primary school in Hove to find a dedicated HLTA to join their team for two terms starting in January 2025.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver pre-planned lessons across Key Stage 2 in the absence of the class teacher.
* Provide targeted interventions to support individual or small groups of students.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons alongside the class teacher.
* Support and supervise pupils during lessons, encouraging active learning and positive participation.
* Collaborate with the SENDCo and teaching staff to support children with additional needs.
* Mark and assess pupils' work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress.
* Contribute to the positive ethos of the school by maintaining strong classroom management and fostering a supportive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
* A Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience working in a KS2 classroom delivering lessons or interventions.
* A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and strategies for supporting learners.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
* Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a passion for inspiring young learners.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour management.
