A leading independent private school in Wokingham, Berkshire for girls and boys aged 3-16. Catering for 850 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of lunch and morning and afternoon snacks along with some hospitality. This is a term-time only contract working 34 weeks a year and operates Monday to Friday. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Wokingham. You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness. Key skills: Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage Excellent customer service skills Great team player Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems. Operate industrial dishwasher We are looking for: Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential. Can do attitude. Organisation Skills. Knowledge / competencies: Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English. Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
