We have a number of opportunities to join our Post Exams and Scanning team at Group Print and Operations as a Distribution Assistant, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our examination material reaches our learners all over the world.
About the role
As a Distribution Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring scanning and recording examination material is processed in accordance with set procedures, ensuring that material is always kept safe and confidential. Tasks will vary depending on what team you are working in, and you will have the opportunity to gain experience in different areas during busy periods. These include:
1. Checking exam papers to ensure no marks have been missed.
2. Ensuring our learners receive their examination materials on time.
3. Maintaining benchmarks and collecting relevant planning data as required.
4. Acting responsibly and complying with Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies, whilst ensuring our temporary colleagues are fully trained and supported.
This is a varied role, where you will complete tasks that could be desk-based or involve walking/standing for long periods at a time. We encourage development, and there will be many opportunities for progression and growth in your career here at our distribution centre.
This role may require shift work for part of the year, depending on organisational need. The standard working hours are 8.30am – 4.15pm Monday – Friday (3pm finish on Fridays). Shift times are a rotation of early shift (6am – 1.30pm) and late shift (1.45pm – 9.15pm) Monday – Friday (early finishes on both shifts on Fridays), and you will receive a shift premium of 20%.
About you
You will be flexible and passionate about the role we play, going above and beyond for our learners, dedicated to upholding standards and open to views of our customers, partners and colleagues. You will work with initiative, be an effective communicator and have a keen eye for detail. Good computer, numeracy, and literacy skills are essential, and you will have a willingness to learn new skills.
