This role requires someone who can connect with students, using empathy, patience, and creativity to inspire and motivate them. You’ll be working 1:1 and in small groups, tailoring your approach to meet the individual needs of each child, and ensuring they feel included and supported in their learning journey.
Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs.
• Strong communication skills and a nurturing approach.
• A passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
• A commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to students with SEMH needs.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering learning activities.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students, helping them to manage their emotions and behaviour.
• Use creative strategies to help students engage with the curriculum.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO and other staff members to implement individual learning plans.
Perks and Benefits:
Joining our school means becoming part of a supportive and collaborative team. We believe in continuous professional development and offer a range of CPD opportunities. You’ll also benefit from working in a school with a fantastic community feel, state-of-the-art facilities, and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing and success of both staff and students. Expect to be welcomed into a nurturing, family-like environment where every day brings the chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of our children.
