Job Description
GVR Solutions are representing a client based in Northwest London who are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year’s experience working for a Main Contractor or sub-contractor.
As a main contractor, they undertake projects within the refurbishment and fit-out sector. The purpose of the role is to assist in the financial management of individual contracts of various values, ensuring allocated contracts are delivered on time, within budget, safely, and to the client’s requirements, in line with company procedures and objectives.
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor must have/be:

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to accurately value works.
* Ability to accurately measure works from drawings.
* Set up files in line with the standard filing structure, maintaining a high standard of records and general efficiency.
* Ensure that financial information communicated to others is reported accurately and on time.
* Good commercial awareness and numeracy skills.
* Good report writer and record keeper.
* Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications, drawings, letters, programmes, reports, etc.
* Able to maintain excellent client and supply chain relationships.
