We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Cable Jointer to join our team. So, what will you be doing? As Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for safely installing and maintaining jointing activities on electricity networks. Working closely with your mate, you'll ensure that all jointing work is carried out to a high standard and in line with industry procedures and safety guidelines. You will also: Carry out risk assessments of the worksite to ensure a safe working environment. Perform both "live" and "dead" Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) jointing tasks. Follow established procedures for working in confined spaces and on public highways. Accurately read and understand work plans, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Maintain tools and equipment and ensure the jointing van is kept in good order. Participate in team meetings and toolbox talks to stay up-to-date with safety requirements. The Person: We are looking for someone with practical experience in cable jointing, who is committed to working safely and efficiently. If you can work well in a team and have a solid understanding of safety rules, we’d love to hear from you You should have: HV/LV jointing authorisations (DNO/IDNO). NRSWA/EUSR/CSCS certification. Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and electricity safety regulations. Strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality.
