Shift Maintenance Engineering Team Manager (Mechanical)
Schedule: 2 Days & 2 Nights, 4-off rotating
Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Salary: £52,859 + benefits and overtime paid at premium rates.

Role Overview: As a Maintenance Engineering Team Manager, you will lead a small shift team in delivering site production plans, ensuring optimum availability, performance, and ongoing improvement of site machinery, plant, and systems while adhering to health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contribute to site maintenance planning activities through our CMMS system.
2. Support engineering stores personnel to ensure the availability of engineering spares for maintenance plan delivery.
3. Manage team performance through structured performance reviews, appraisals, and training plan delivery.
Key Required Skills:
1. Excellent fault-finding skills.
2. Qualified, time-served apprentice trained in a mechanical engineering discipline (ideally to NVQ level 3, HND, or similar).
3. Proven experience in leading, motivating, and developing small maintenance teams.
4. Experience in automated, fast-paced manufacturing environments.
5. Experience in hydraulics & pneumatics is essential.
6. Recognised safety training (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH).
7. Forward-thinking with planning work/improvements.
8. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Engineering Best Practice systems & processes would be beneficial.
