About the role:
Activate Learning now have an exciting opportunity for an Examinations Officer to join our team based at Banbury College.
The Examinations Team are responsible for all matters relating to the students' outcomes – facilitating all arrangements required for the successful entry, assessment and claiming of results by learners. Within your area of responsibility you will co-ordinate and run exams sessions in co-ordination with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations.
Working with stakeholders across the group such as faculty staff, learning support teams and the data team, you will ensure examinations are effectively managed and coordinated with the rest of the group. You will also be responsible for training and coordinating invigilators to ensure they are prepared for their part in examinations.
This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37 hours per week. The role will be based at Banbury College, with occasional travel required to our Oxford Campus during peak exam seasons.
What do you need to be successful as an Examinations Officer at Activate Learning?
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and teamwork skills, and a high level of customer service skills to enable you to communicate effectively with all our customers.
You will have the ability to use your own initiative, and be friendly and confident in dealing with day to day systems, procedures and students.
About you:
Qualified to Level 2 standard or higher in English and Maths
Excellent organisational and teamwork skills
High level of customer service and able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Previous experience and confidence in using a large data base is essential
Strong IT skills and the ability to use all Microsoft programmes including Outlook, Excel and Word
Experience working in an examination office is desirable but not essential
