Job title: Senior C&I Engineer
Job Type: Permanent - Will look at Contract
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 (DOE)
Location: Manchester or Whitehaven
Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Applicants Must Have:
1. Experience of full lifecycle engineering.
2. Technical report writing skills.
3. Experience within Design Justification Reports.
4. Experience delivering Technical presentations.
5. Experience attending factory acceptance tests.
6. The ability to gain SC Clearance.
Must have an in depth understanding of at least one of the following areas:
1. Instrumentation and control system theory including PID control.
2. Electrical circuits design, EMC precautions and power supply characteristics.
3. Safety Integrity Levels and BS EN 61508 or 61511.
4. Machinery Safety and UKCA Marking.
5. PLC programming.
6. Fieldbus technology (Profibus/Profinet).
Desirable:
1. Experience leading a team
2. Chartered Engineer status
3. TUV Certification - Very Desirable
Role Information:
1. Support the development of estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver it in order to support bids.
2. Develop design solutions to agreed time, cost, and quality in accordance with project or business milestones.
3. Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation, and commissioning activities.
4. Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including diagrams; technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and justifications.
5. Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management.
6. Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual, and local business processes, standards, procedures, and documentation.
7. Review relevant supplier documentation and ensure it is captured and recorded appropriately.
8. Undertake design reviews and presentations to customers.
