We are looking to recruit a Band 2 Care Support Assistant or Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our nursing team on Heligan or Harold White Ward at St Austell Community Hospital.
The role requires the post holder to be committed to the ongoing development of the ward and multi-disciplinary team working, aiming to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
The position holder will require a cheerful 'can do' attitude. In return, we will support you in your career path.
The working hours consist of a mixture of long days (07:30 - 20:00) and night shifts (19:30 - 08:00) in order to support 24-hour nursing care, 7 days per week.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting patients with meals including preparation and service
2. Assisting patients with personal care
3. Supporting the wider team with domestic and housekeeping duties
4. Meeting and greeting
5. Putting away stock
6. Carrying out and supporting with other duties our trained and experienced staff need completing
7. Reporting any concerns or issues to the manager in charge
8. Making or receiving telephone calls
