Waltham Forest Community Hub is a registered charity based in Walthamstow, East London. We offer a housing advice service, youth provision, and health and well-being services to the residents of the London Borough of Waltham Forest. We have recently secured 5 years of funding from The National Lottery to develop a project called Volunteering Link. In partnership with two other registered charities - Healthwatch Waltham Forest and Carers First, Volunteering Link is a new approach to volunteering in Waltham Forest to help the three charities attract, train, and retain local volunteers. This exciting new role supports volunteer management across the three registered charities by creating and managing a pool of volunteers to work flexibly across all three charities. The Volunteer Manager role will be employed by and be based in Waltham Forest Community Hub.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role in London for a Volunteer Manager at Waltham Forest Community Hub. The Volunteer Manager will have oversight of the Volunteering Link programme and will be responsible for managing and coordinating volunteer activities, recruiting and training volunteers, and ensuring a positive volunteering experience for all parties involved. In particular, the role will actively recruit a pool of volunteers to work flexibly across WF Community Hub, Carers First, and Healthwatch Waltham Forest and target work to address underrepresentation, particularly from hard-to-reach communities.
