SEN Teaching Assistant (Torbay)
Location: Torbay
Pay: £85 - £90 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Torbay area. This is a rewarding full-time position in a supportive school environment, working closely with students to help them achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
* Support students in managing their behaviour and developing social skills.
* Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt resources to meet pupils’ needs.
* Promote independence and confidence in pupils through tailored interventions.
* Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (preferred but not essential).
* Patience, empathy, and adaptability.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive in supporting students to overcome challenges.
* Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
