SEN Teaching Assistant (Torbay) Location: Torbay Pay: £85 - £90 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Torbay area. This is a rewarding full-time position in a supportive school environment, working closely with students to help them achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN. Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Support students in managing their behaviour and developing social skills. Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt resources to meet pupils’ needs. Promote independence and confidence in pupils through tailored interventions. Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (preferred but not essential). Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be proactive in supporting students to overcome challenges. Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
