Ellis Mather Group is seeking a proactive and organised Executive Assistant and People Manager to support our Managing Director and manage key people-related activities across the organisation. This hybrid role requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing executive-level support with managing HR functions to drive organisational effectiveness. Acting as a key liaison and support to the Managing Director, the Executive Assistant and People Manager will have touchpoints across operations, HR, marketing, and strategic initiatives. Frequently stepping into the role of project leader, this position involves managing and driving a wide array of projects, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with organisational goals. Key Responsibilities: Executive Assistant duties may include: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Managing Director, including managing their schedule, correspondence, and travel arrangements and act in a Personal Assistant capacity where required. Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for meetings. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications directed to the Managing Director. Coordinate and take minutes during meetings, ensuring follow-up on action items. Assist in managing special projects as assigned by the Managing Director. People Manager duties may include: Act as a central point of contact for HR queries, providing guidance on company policies and procedures. Oversee recruitment activities, including drafting job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new employees. Support employee engagement initiatives and help maintain a positive workplace culture. Manage employee records, ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, and assist with payroll coordination. Work closely with managers across the organisation to address workforce planning and performance management. Skills and Experience: Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, HR Manager, or similar role Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management tools. Sound knowledge of HR policies and practices, with an understanding of employment law. A high level of discretion and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information.
