We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager based around the Midlands area. Hybrid role 2 days per week onsite. Were looking for a Finance Manager to partner with the sites, lead the finance functions and work closely with our stakeholders.

What youll do on a typical day:
Act as a Business partner to the Site/Contract Managers.
Assist with bringing new business accounts in line with our ways of working, ensuring P&Ls are reflective of actuals, engaging with any new managers to ensure their understanding of their requirements.
Work closely with the Site managers, Contract Managers and Senior Finance Manager in order to develop and improve current reporting procedures both financial and KPIs.
Drive understanding of performance issues vs budget and supporting the operation in compiling corrective actions to ensure budgets are achieved.
Improve credibility and understanding of site performance on a weekly and monthly basis.
Attendance at review of results (Weekly Flash, monthly results review) with a view to input towards improvement of results.
Produce monthly performance presentations for the results reviews and understand and agree corrective actions when required.
Commercial reviews and forecasting the external revenue to identify any risks and opportunities.
Involved in any tactical new business/re-tenders to ensure the margin is per expectation, post implementation reviews.
Drafting Capital investment proposals in line with company policy.
Annual Budget/ Rolling forecast preparation with site managers for review and approval by Senior FBP and LTL Director.
Attendance at Site meetings/ be physical presence at Site when required to ensure financial understanding for Operational colleagues.
To support a continuous improvement methodology to ensure cost efficiencies are continuously identified and to ensure the cost profile provides the required profit for the Site, particularly supporting initiatives to deliver more variable cost structures.
To ensure sites comply with all financial processes and procedures as determined by the company.
Participate in any ad-hoc projects as a finance lead.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Strong Stakeholder management style
Experience in Month End reporting
Experienced in Budget/Forecast preparation
Experienced with Balance sheet reconciliations
Experience in Director level presentations
Strong IT skills are a mandatory requirement particularly Excel and SAP
Previous experience within transport and warehousing would be beneficial
