Queen's Business School (QBS) at Queen’s University Belfast is currently seeking to appoint one or more exceptional candidates to the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader in Information Systems/ Digital Business/Technology Management/Operations Management. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to shape and strengthen the future direction of QBS from both a research and teaching perspective. About the person:
Successful candidates’ application should clearly demonstrate:
* A completed PhD (or very close to completion for Lecturer) in Information Systems/DigitalBusiness/Technology Management/Operations Management or cognate disciplines.
* An established programme of research activity and dissemination of original, high-quality research in Information Systems/ Digital Business/ Technology Management/Operations Management in line with accepted norms for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader.
* A sustained track record of high-quality peer reviewed Information Systems/ Digital Business/ TechnologyManagement/Operations Management publications as appropriate to norms for Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Reader.
* Evidence of the ability and willingness to teach (for Lecturer)/significant experience of teaching and assessing (for Senior Lecturer and Reader) modules at university level in one or more of the following areas: Management of artificial intelligence, Business applications of emerging technologies, Cybersecurity, Management of digital risks, Design thinking with digital technologies, Digital strategy and change management, Technology entrepreneurship, Business analytics, Digital Supply Chain Management.
* Demonstrable ability to advance the teaching and research goals of QBS.
* For Reader: experience of providing leadership to the wider scholarly community (e.g., decision-makingeditorial roles in peer-reviewed journals) or experience of providing academic leadership at a strategic level (e.g., Director of taught programmes/PhD programme).
