We’re looking for an experienced Senior MI Analyst to join our Group Risk team. In this role you will contribute to the effective delivery of data, reporting and analytics through:
1. Leading on the development of end user data sources and dashboards, to allow greater levels of insight to be obtained.

The Role
1. Work with ETL developers to translate business needs to technical specifications.
2. Lead on the design, build and deployment of PowerBI reports and dashboards working closely with key stakeholders.
3. Lead on the design, build and deployment of Databricks SQL reports and data extracts working closely with key stakeholders.
4. Conduct testing and troubleshooting for data and system changes.
5. Evaluate and suggest improvements to existing BI and analytics processes.
6. Provide guidance and support to other members of the data and analytics team.
7. Demonstrate and champion best practice within the team.
About You
We’re looking for someone with significant experience and expertise of MI and reporting who can lead by example, supporting and developing colleagues. You’ll also have experience in preparing reports and presenting data and business information to key stakeholders.
Skills, abilities, and behaviours we’re looking for include:
1. Experience in MS PowerBI and SQL is essential.
2. Financial Services experience is preferred.
3. Understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
4. Understanding of Azure Datalakes, ADF and Databricks and how they output to PowerBI.
5. BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant would be advantageous, but not essential.
