Interim Project Accountant: 6 - 9 Months
W&A is partnering with a not-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh to help source a Project Accountant for a 9-month contract.
The Project Accountant will lead on key and substantial organisation-wide projects.
This will include identifying potential efficiency savings across the organisation, providing training and the development of key policies and procedures.
Our client operates a hybrid working environment, and there will be some travel requirements too.
About You:
* Professional accountancy qualification or equivalent experience.
* Significant management accounting experience working with a range of stakeholders in a complex organisation.
* Demonstrable ability to assimilate, interpret, and present complex financial information.
* Experience of working within a project environment.
* Excellent experience of management accounting systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Pride in work, with proven accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work flexibly and proactively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with the Head of Finance, provide a lead role in the delivery of financial support to key organisational initiatives.
* Ensure that the financial implications of major projects are understood and supported with reliable and robust financial input and advice.
* Play an active role within project delivery teams.
* Work to an agreed Project agenda, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined, and that Project Plans are agreed each time.
* Respond appropriately to queries, investigating all areas of concern, within an agreed timescale.
