CNC Turner – Precision Engineering
Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking for a role with excellent pay, cutting-edge machinery, and a four-day workweek? This could be the opportunity for you! A well-established precision engineering company in North Shields is expanding and looking for skilled CNC Turners to join their team. You’ll be producing high-quality components for industries such as nuclear, defence, oil & gas, motorsport, and more, working with the latest CNC technology in a modern facility.
What’s on Offer?
Salary: £17 - £20 per hour, plus shift allowance where applicable
Shifts: Choose from nights, days, or a rotating shift pattern
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday – enjoy a long weekend, every weekend!
Overtime: Available and paid at time and a half

Annual Leave: 26.5 days including public holidays
Company Sick Pay: Up to 12 weeks
The Role
Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes
Monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal performance
Inspect finished components to ensure precision and quality
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
Work closely with engineers to refine processes and drive continuous improvement
Follow safety procedures and environmental responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in a CNC turning role
Programming using Mazatrol is essential
Experience with Siemens controls is desirable
Strong knowledge of CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset
Comfortable working in a physically active environment
