The Company
ATA are proud to be working with an industry-leading client in the warehousing industry. They design, install, manufacture, and install all of the automation on their customer sites. Following this, they have a resident maintenance team that looks after all of their machinery and technology. The resident site is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to help them adapt to the rapid growth of the site in recent years! The site is currently functioning at 2 million units per week across the range of their 15,000 products. This is a really exciting opportunity if you are looking to work with the latest automation and up-to-date technology.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Working alongside a shift team (3 per shift) as well as independently when needed.
2. Reacting to breakdowns and getting the site running efficiently as soon as possible.
3. Following and working alongside the CMMS system to keep the site running smoothly. The tablet-based system allows you to complete PPM, check stores, and carry out all maintenance tasks.
4. Working alongside all the latest automation and machinery including conveyors, automated pickers, vision camera systems, stacking, and de-stacking machines.
5. Mechanically identifying and replacing worn-out parts, working on components such as bearings, pulleys, and pneumatic systems.
6. Electrically working on various sensors, proximities, reading electrical drawings, fault finding confidently, and swapping like-for-like components.
The Candidate
In a Maintenance Engineer, we are looking for:
1. A recognised engineering qualification.
2. A strong communicator working with the shift team and reporting to the supervisor.
3. Someone who will adapt to and understand the customers' needs.
4. An engineer who can perform under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
