Your new role
Key Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Development:
Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational standards.
* Instruction:
Deliver high-quality instruction in various branches of science, including biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences.
* Assessment:
Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
* Classroom Management:
Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
* Professional Development:
Stay updated with the latest educational trends and advancements in science education through continuous professional development.
* Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the school administration to support student success and school initiatives.
* Extracurricular Activities:
Lead or participate in science-related extracurricular activities, such as science clubs, fairs, and field trips.
Qualifications:
* Education:
Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
* Certification:
Valid teaching certification for secondary education.
* Experience:
Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting is highly desirable.
* Skills:
Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills. The ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
