We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated qualified practitioner who is registered with an appropriate body to work as part of our Urgent Care Team here at Newport Pagnell Medical Centre. The hours of work will be a range of shifts between the hours of 0800 and 1830 Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will deliver minor illness clinics as part of the Urgent Care Team, providing: assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients. You will have experience and competence in managing a General Practice caseload – including chronic case management, dealing with minor illness and injury and experience in diagnosing, prescribing and referring. The successful candidate will deliver minor illness clinics as part of the urgent care team and duties will include the following; Working closely with GP colleagues, the minor illness clinician will deliver minor illness clinics. Providing assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients. Long term condition case management. Dealing with minor illness and injury. Diagnosing, prescribing and referring. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration with an active PIN. Run autonomous minor illness clinics. Experience and competence in managing a general practice caseload. Prescribe products to meet the needs of patients within the Practice population. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
