Purpose: Reporting to the Finance Director, the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst will provide insight and analysis through financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and commercial analysis. Supporting the Finance Director, the commercial finance team in Seraphine is responsible for FP&A and business partnering, driving forward thinking and challenging the status quo through data and interpretation. We’re looking for someone who is who has experience in a similar role in a retail, e-commerce or FMCG business. This role is a key part of the small and growing commercial finance function within Seraphine. This would suit someone willing to be a major part of Seraphine’s future planning, building reporting and driving commercial understanding through the business. It’s highly analytical and value add, and ideal for a talented, high-energy candidate to make a mark in the Finance team and beyond. As the Senior Commercial Finance Analyst you will support the Finance team to develop and streamline the reporting cycles, as well as implement new reporting capabilities. Additionally, you will be key in developing the newly created Junior Commercial Finance Analyst role. Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days Salary range: 60k - 70k Main Duties and Key responsibilities: Responsible for business wide performance reporting including daily/weekly sales and monthly E-comm KPIs. Supporting the Finance Director with monthly exec reporting. Work with the Finance Director to improve existing reporting in place as well as implementing new business reporting as required including the implementation of a new BI tool. Ownership of the monthly rolling forecasting and budgeting models and templates ready for updating. Take ownership of the completion of central overheads budget and the wholesale and retail budgets across the full P&L. Business Partner for the retail stores, ensuring they have monthly visibility of their sales performance vs budget. Manage and develop the Junior Commercial Finance Analyst. Provide ad hoc analysis as required, including assistance with specific project/initiative analysis. Requirements: Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). 2 - 3 years of demonstrable experience in a similar role in either retail, E-commerce, FMCG or similar. Excellent planning and analytical skills, together with a proactive approach Excellent verbal and written communication skills - can explain complex analytical work in a logical way that can be understood by a non-analytical audience. Comfortable working at pace during busy periods Detail oriented – able to check for consistencies across data and self-review work Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically excellent excel skills are required and experience with Power BI desirable but not required Imaginative, with a practical, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving. Experience in reviewing the full P&L including familiarity with sales and margin analysis. Benefits: Annual leave entitlement – 25 days FTE paid holiday any bank/public holidays.
