Our client, a reputable legal firm, are currently seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to join their team based in North Birmingham. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Family Solicitor to join their dynamic family law department. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and domestic violence cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal expertise, excellent communication skills, and a genuine commitment to client care.
Duties for the Family Solicitor will include but not be limited to the following:
* Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in various family law matters, including divorce, separation, child custody, and financial disputes.
* Manage a diverse caseload of family law cases from initial consultation to resolution, including negotiation, mediation, and litigation when necessary.
* Attend court hearings and represent clients in family court proceedings.
* Draft legal documents, including petitions, agreements, and court submissions.
* Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases and provide accurate legal advice.
* Liaise with clients, opposing solicitors, and third-party professionals in a timely and professional manner.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law legislation and best practices.
* Support and mentor junior staff and trainees within the family law team.
* Contribute to the growth and development of the family law practice through networking and business development activities.
The ideal candidate for the Family Solicitor will have the following:
* UK qualified solicitor with a minimum of 8 years of experience in family law.
* Strong understanding of family law legislation and procedures.
* Proven track record of managing complex family law cases successfully.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
* Empathetic approach and commitment to delivering excellent client service.
* Experience in public law, children’s proceedings and/or alternative dispute resolution methods (mediation, collaborative law).
